frozen shoulder

A hugely common condition where the tough fibrous sleeve that surrounds the shoulder – the joint capsule – becomes inflamed, which is extremely painful. The second stage of frozen shoulder is when this inflammation causes the folds of the capsule to adhere or stick together, vastly restricting the range of motion of the shoulder. The final stage of frozen shoulder is where the joint gradually loosens off – the ‘thawing’ of the frozen shoulder!

We would aim to help with pain relief and maintaining motion in the early stage, with progressively more stretching and manipulation in the later stages to improve motion and restore function.
