overuse injuries

These should really be terms ‘relative overuse’ because what might be classed as doing too much for one person, might be normal daily activity for another.

Overuse will either be a problem that has gradually built for some time, such as pain in the forearm or hands in a computer user, or might have come from a one-off activity that the patient isn’t used to, such as cutting the hedges on a weekend, laying a patio or being over-enthusiastic at the gym.
