tennis & golfers elbow

Pain localised to the outer part of the elbow can be Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondilitis) and on the inside of the elbow joint can be Golfer’s Elbow (medial epicondilitis) – although you don’t need to play either sport to get them!

They are typically overuse injuries and can just as easily occur from heavy gardening, weight-training or using a computer keyboard. Treatment options can be an injection from your Doctor, but should not be the first choice and some studies have shown that physiotherapy can be more effective.

Early physio is important to definitively diagnose the problem and to try and address the causes. We then work on pain relief, stretching and then strengthening of the affected tissue and gradually return you to activity.
